Nice to Meet You

Welcome to my blog. I am newly sober at 50, after 35 years of drinking alcohol. Living in south Louisiana and growing up in the family wine store, drinking was pretty much the end-all-be-all. I was awesome at it, and it has been an important (often way too important) part of my life. But as you know, or are becoming aware, there is a huge toll on our body and mind. So, after a lifetime of toasting every occasion with alcohol, I am finally laying it down. And I'm having the best damn time in the process! ​

 

This blog was created to share my past experiences, but more importantly focus on what the next part of life looks like. So along with stories, I will be adding zero proof recipes, tips on what to do with yourself now that you don't drink, and helpful links to great information. I'm also building a shame free community forum where we can just talk about this ridiculous journey we have been on, and the amazing one we are building.
